Difficulty Guide

Every Geometry Dash level carries one of ten difficulty ratings. Dashdle turns guessing them into a daily game.

The Ten Tiers

From the calmest levels to the hardest rated in the game

Easy
Easy

Beginner-friendly levels with simple jumps and forgiving pacing. If a video looks calm, it is probably Easy.

Normal
Normal

A step up in timing and obstacle density, but still approachable for most players.

Hard
Hard

Consistent jumps, tighter timings and more mode switches. This is where many players start to struggle.

Harder
Harder

Faster and more technical, with longer sequences that demand sustained focus.

Insane
Insane

Relentless execution. Long, demanding gameplay with very little room for error.

Easy Demon
Easy Demon

The entry point to demon-tier levels, and a big jump up from Insane. The demon face is red for a reason.

Medium Demon
Medium Demon

Demanding but fair. Memorization and raw skill have to work together.

Hard Demon
Hard Demon

Serious execution checks with long stretches of consistent difficulty.

Insane Demon
Insane Demon

Among the toughest rated levels in the game. Extreme consistency required, wave after wave.

Extreme Demon
Extreme Demon

The hardest rating a level can receive, and the pinnacle of Geometry Dash skill. Bloodbath and its siblings live here.

How Scoring Works

You do not need the exact tier to win points. Guesses are scored by how close they land on the difficulty scale.

Tips for Guessing

What to look for while the video plays

  • •Speed changes and mode switches (ship, ball, wave, UFO) usually signal a higher tier.
  • •Heavy decoration does not mean hard. Some of the most beautiful levels are rated Easy or Normal.
  • •Demons escalate by face color: the deeper into demon territory, the longer and more precise the gameplay.
  • •Watch the player, not the level. If the attempt takes dozens of tries in the video, it is probably a demon.
  • •Practice mode draws random levels from the archive, so it is the fastest way to calibrate your instincts.
