About Dashdle

Dashdle is a daily guessing game for Geometry Dash players. You watch a few seconds (or a few minutes) of a level being played and guess how it was rated, from Easy to Extreme Demon. Everyone gets the same levels each day, so you can compare scores with friends and see how the whole community did.

Why it exists

Anyone who has spent time in Geometry Dash has an opinion about difficulty. A level is “way too hard for a Harder” or “the easiest Insane Demon in the game”, and players argue about demon tiers endlessly. Dashdle started in 2025 as a way to put those instincts to a test: can you actually tell a Hard Demon from an Insane Demon just by watching it?

It turns out to be hard. Across all guesses, the community lands on the exact tier only about half the time, and the misses are often more interesting than the hits. The community stats track it live, and the levels that fool the most people become the weekly Elite Challenge.

Where the levels come from

Every level in Dashdle was submitted by a player, together with a YouTube video of its gameplay. Before a level can appear in a daily, its ID is looked up on the official Geometry Dash servers to confirm the name and rating, the video is checked to be real, family-friendly gameplay of that level that does not show the answer, and an admin approves it by hand. The full process is described in how a level gets into Dashdle.

The difficulty you are guessing is the level's real in-game rating, not something we decide. The videos belong to the players who recorded them; Dashdle only embeds them with YouTube's own player, so views and credit go to the original channel. You can submit a level yourself with the upload button on the home page.

Who runs it

Dashdle is an independent, fan-made project, built and run in spare time by people who play Geometry Dash. It has no publisher and no investors. Hosting is paid for by ads and by players who chip in on Ko-fi. There are no accounts and no paid features: your streak and history are stored in your own browser. See the privacy page for exactly what is collected.
